Quick answer: You can keep your domain registered with its current registrar and point it to DUHosting by entering the exact nameservers shown in your hosting activation or welcome email.
If the domain is registered with DUHosting
- Sign in to the Client Area.
- Open Domains > My Domains and select the domain.
- Open the nameserver management option.
- Choose custom nameservers, enter the assigned values exactly and save.
If the domain is registered elsewhere
Sign in at the current registrar, open the domain nameserver settings and replace the existing nameservers with the values in the DUHosting service welcome email.
Nameserver changes can take time to propagate. Keep the previous hosting and email service active until the website and mail records have been verified. If you want to keep an external DNS provider, update the required A, CNAME and mail records there instead of changing nameservers.
Kwa kifupi: Tumia nameserver zilizo kwenye email ya activation; usibuni nameserver na usifunge hosting ya zamani kabla ya kuthibitisha website na email.
