Quick answer: After activation, confirm the domain route, DNS records, HTTPS, email authentication and an independent backup before promoting the website publicly.

Reviewed by the DUHosting Technical Team on 4 September 2026.

1. Confirm service activation

Open the welcome email and Client Area service page. Use only the server, nameserver, login and control-panel details assigned to that order.

2. Connect the domain

If the domain uses DUHosting DNS, apply the assigned nameservers. If DNS remains elsewhere, update only the required A, CNAME, MX and TXT records. Do not change nameservers and individual records at the same time without a migration plan.

3. Verify the website and HTTPS

Test the main domain and www version, forms, images, database-driven pages and redirects. Confirm the certificate covers the required hostnames and fix mixed-content warnings before enforcing HTTPS.

4. Configure business email

Create only the mailboxes required by the plan, use strong unique passwords, and publish the correct MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records. Test sending and receiving with an external mailbox.

5. Create recoverable backup

Keep an independent copy of files, databases, email and important configuration. Provider-managed backup is included only where the selected product explicitly states its schedule and retention.

6. Ask for migration help before changing live DNS

Migration eligibility and scope depend on the selected service and the source environment. Confirm what DUHosting will migrate, what access is required, the cutover window and who validates the result before changing production DNS.

Kwa kifupi: Hakikisha activation, DNS, SSL, email records na backup kabla ya kutangaza tovuti. Thibitisha scope ya migration kabla ya kubadilisha live DNS.
