How to Backup and Restore Your Website using cPanel (Backup Wizard) Print

Important: This procedure creates a customer-managed cPanel backup. It does not confirm that automated backups, a particular retention period or a guaranteed restore point are included with your plan. Keep an independent off-server copy and test restoration.

Create Backup

1. cPanel → Backup Wizard

2. Click Back Up

3. Choose:

   • Full Backup (recommended) or Partial (Home Directory / Databases)

4. Generate and download backup file

Restore Backup (Partial Restore Recommended)

1. cPanel → Backup Wizard

2. Click Restore

3. Upload:

   • Home Directory backup (files)

   • MySQL database backup (database)

• Weekly full backups

• Daily database backups if your site changes often
